I’m afraid that as winter drags its claws through these last weeks, my blog is becoming all ‘Yesterday I pick d my nose and wiped it under the seat omg!”
Or said a better way maybe… lacking in insight and information. But i can’t give what I don’t have, so the blog is turning into more of a garden/life/nonsense diary. Hopefully it’ll become a little more informative once color and scent return to the earth.
So like yesterday I totally made this chicken water heater thingy and it worked but then it leaked a little around the nipples (omg!) so I like put this white tape stuf around them and some sticky stuff yuck, and now it’s awesome!!!!!!!!!! 😉
An I got a whole ginormous bag of coffee grounds and a new thingie to put chicken feed into.

You’re starting to crack under the pressure, Dan! Don’t let Old Man Winter get to you, hang in there. It will be green again before too long.

For about $29.00 you can buy one with a cord. I get the ingenuity, but sometimes you have to push the easy button. PS, did I say I love utube?

Yeah, this one has a built-in cord and heater. I did have to install the nipples, but I really like the solidness of the product. What’s the item you mentioned for $29? I might need a fallback 🙂

So, I should not rely on my memory. My rabbit feeder was 29.00 (32oz) and the one I use for my chickens was $35.00 (3 gallon) and I purchased it at my local farm store – Bucheit . Still a good price. Most places want 45.00 just for the heat pedestal alone. Below are some other places I window shop.

Haha, I know what memories can be like. I considered a heat pedestal, but settled on the heated bucket because it seemed less fire-prone and only cost a couple of dollars more. Those gravity fed nipples probably won’t work though. They freeze. So I ordered some horizontal nipples and we’ll try those. Thanks for the input!

I much prefer if your picked nose wipings went onto the curtains Dan – not under the seat (under the seat ‘is so like yestetday’).

Mate we are about to go into Autumn and then into the same picking experience. Think of us as those tomatoes start creeping skyward.
