I haven’t had a lot of time in the garden the last couple of days. Colds always stink, but summer colds are their own brand of misery.
I did get out to pick a beautiful German Johnson. I think I love some of my tomatoes for their names almost as much as I do for their taste.
Hope you feel better soon. That tomato is a thing of beauty!

That. Is. AWESOME!!! There’s practically enough of that tomato to share with everyone here. Kudos there, Dan. You are the reigning Tomato King.

Haha, that’s nice of you Shannon! I think there are lots of folks who could grow rings around me. But the plant was grown from my own saved seed, and that does make me proud. π

I’m only just getting to where my time can allow for better seed-saving efforts. I regretted not keeping some from that fine mini-cherry that did so well last year, but then they did spawn five volunteer plants around the garden that required I work on my part. Ha!
No really, Dan, you have quite the green thumb (and fingers, and…).

Well, I have lots of time and still haven’t scratched the surface of seed saving, so don’t feel bad. And no, my teeth aren’t green π
